A ‘Jarring’ Victorian Home Resolved With Colour, Art, + Joinery

This Mosman house was presented to Ioanna Lennox Interiors in a somewhat unfortunate yet common condition for a Victorian home in Australia today. Jarring renovations over time had left the home in a mismatched state, calling for improvements to its flow, light, and functionality. 
Specialists in preserving period features while adding comfortable contemporary additions, Ioanna Lennox Interiors completely gutted and remodelled the second half of the home’s ground floor. The kitchen, dining room, laundry, and powder room were all resolved with a hint of mid-century style, alongside the original rooms punctuated with gorgeous colour and art. 

A Mindful Multi-Generational Family Home In Clifton Hill

Creating a brand new home that respects the heritage context of an existing streetscape is no easy feat.
So when Clare Cousins Architects were enlisted to replace a post-war cottage in Clifton Hill with a large, multi-generational family home, the architects started by drawing inspiration from what was already there.
