Dezeen Showroom: Spanish furniture design brand Andreu World has advertised a selection of its latest furnishings on Dezeen Showroom, including outdoor furniture, tables and chairs.
Andreu World worked with designer Patricia Urquiola on Brezal, a collection of outdoor furniture made up of a modular sofa, lounge chair, dining chair, side table and coffee table.
The Brezal range reinterprets wickerwork
Despite differing functions and scales, the pieces are unified by the use of woven polypropylene rope that aims to represent a modern take on wicker furniture.
Aluminium frames make the pieces weather resistant and lightweight, and all elements are available in a selection of colours.
Planar tables have a set of characterfully A-shaped legs
The Planar table was designed in collaboration with Rodolfo Dordoni, who aimed to make a statement of meeting tables.
The legs and tabletops are available in a spectrum of materials and finishes, including wood, laminate, glass, linoleum, technical stone and marble.
The Calma lounge chair has a cocooning shape
British industrial designer Benjamin Hubert and his studio Layer worked with Andreu World on a lounge chair that embraces the sitter.
The Calma lounge chair differs from the other examples as it is made without glue, allowing easier repair, replacement and recycling.
The Garzetta table comes in various sizes and finishes
The design brand collaborated with Swedish studio Afteroom on a series of small-scale side, coffee and occasional tables that are united by cruciform bases.
Garzetta tables comprise a base with tapered legs and a rounded tabletop. Both elements can be specified with various different finishes and materials.
The tables can be customised
Andreu World is a Spanish furniture brand founded in 1955 by Francisco Andreu Marti. The brand now has 23 showrooms across North America, Europe and Asia.
The brand specialises in the design and manufacturing of furniture, frequently collaborating with recognised designers and studios including Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck, Jasper Morrison, Gensler and PearsonLloyd.
