In today’s challenging economic climate, managing household expenses can be a significant burden. For households that employ domestic helpers, the costs associated with hiring and maintaining a domestic helper can quickly add up – from wages to medical care, and unexpected incidents such as accidents or loss of important documents.
Recognising these challenges, the Allianz Domestic Helper Shield offers three affordable plans to choose from, to help manage these risks. Premiums start from as low as RM50 for a one-year period and a two-year cost-saving option is also available with premiums as low as RM90, excluding service tax.
Key benefits of the Allianz Domestic Helper Shield include coverage for medical expenses and financial support for hospitalisation and surgical costs.
It also covers repatriation expenses, ambulance fees and wages compensation during periods of hospitalisation, illness or injury, in addition to reimbursement for fees incurred for the replacement of lost or damaged documents, hiring a replacement helper and personal liability claims.
The Allianz Domestic Helper Shield is available to employers who are Malaysian citizens, permanent residents or legally residing in Malaysia, and maid agencies supplying domestic helpers. Domestic helpers must be aged between 18 and 65 years, legally employed in Malaysia and, if foreign, must hold a valid work permit.
