Field: from dictation to site evidence

Gewerkton Field is the voice-first construction site app. It turns dictation into evidence, defects, daywork reports and takt information, and includes a portal. Its role is to capture what is happening where the work takes place, rather than requiring every observation or instruction to begin as manually entered office data.

The range of intended uses varies by project type. On housing and building projects, Field can connect a defect with a photo and deadline, support dictated daywork reports, and capture a signature on the device during handover. On wind farms and renewable-energy projects, the requirements are different: sites may be distributed, crews may rotate, field acceptance has to be recorded, and offline capture is needed in dead zones.

Infrastructure and tunnel work brings another set of pressures. These projects can run for long periods and generate many change orders. Gewerkton’s approach is to keep instructions backed by the original audio, preserving the source alongside the information derived from it. The same principle also applies to cross-border teams, where each participant can work in their own language while the evidence original remains unambiguous.

Studio: a browser workspace for plans and models

Gewerkton Studio is the browser workspace for plans and models. Where a model already exists, the project team can work with it in the browser. Where no model exists, the site team can create one there, giving projects a route into model-based work without making an existing model a prerequisite.

That distinction is particularly relevant across mixed construction environments. A data-centre or industrial-plant project may have many trades working in parallel under tight deadlines, while another site may begin with less structured information. Studio is intended to provide the common browser layer in both cases. For meetings, decisions can become task lists sorted by trade, turning spoken or recorded project decisions into an organised set of responsibilities.

Cloud: coordination across the platform

Gewerkton Cloud handles operations and model or data coordination between Field, Studio and third parties. It is the connecting product line rather than another site-capture interface, allowing information gathered in the field and work carried out in the browser to be coordinated beyond those individual environments.

Customers can choose an EU cloud deployment or run the platform on their own infrastructure. This gives projects a direct choice over data residency instead of tying every deployment to one fixed hosting arrangement.

German commercial integration, global project scope

Gewerkton was born in the German market, and its deepest commercial integration is German. The supported commercial formats and systems named by the company are GAEB, REB, XRechnung and DATEV. That foundation sits alongside a global-market strategy rather than limiting the platform to German-language projects.

The platform supports 27 content languages. This is aimed at projects where crews, supervisors and commercial teams may not share a single working language. Gewerkton specifically identifies Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese crews in its intended Asian project coverage, with multilingual operation extending from initial capture through to the resulting report.

For a cross-border project involving European, US and Asia-Pacific teams, each person can work in their own language while the original evidence remains clear. In Asia, the same multilingual workflow is paired with a choice of data residency and AI-provider region. These are not presented as separate regional editions; they are part of the same three-line platform.

Bring-your-own AI with regional selection

Gewerkton’s BYO-AI model supports 13 AI providers. Organisations bring their own keys and can select providers by region, with choices covering the EU, the US and Asia, including mainland China. The platform describes this arrangement as avoiding vendor lock-in.

The regional selection is significant because the product’s multilingual scope crosses several operational and infrastructure contexts. A project can choose among EU, US and Asian providers rather than being assigned one AI supplier globally. Projects in mainland China are explicitly included in that regional choice.

The AI architecture also reflects how Gewerkton itself is being built. The company is the work of a solo founder directing a fleet of coding agents using Codex and Claude. In one night, that fleet shipped 21 software packages, with the output verified using negative controls and mutation tests. It is an unusual development model, but the key release point remains unchanged: the platform is currently in beta, and its public beta is planned for fall 2026.

Those details reinforce the breadth of the launch without changing its present status. What ships now is a beta platform around those capabilities. The broader public beta is still planned for fall 2026.
