CMF’s first portable speaker series combines expressive geometric design, Stereo Mode and Party Mode for multi-speaker listening, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, IP68 protection, and up to 18 hours of battery life.
Today, CMF announced the CMF Speaker Series, its debut portable speaker lineup, comprising CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M. The series pairs CMF’s distinctive geometric design language with balanced sound, practical durability and connectivity built to remove friction from everyday listening.
With CMS Speaker S and CMS Speaker M, CMF has developed two portable speakers designed to deliver sound suited to their respective sizes, while combining a considered design with easy connectivity. CMS Speaker S offers a compact form factor for portability, while CMS Speaker M delivers a larger, more powerful audio experience without compromising on ease of use.
Two speakers, one promise
CMS Speaker S is the grab-and-go companion, built to travel outside. Its compact, upright form, slips into a bag, clips onto a strap or hangs from a carabiner via its built-in attachment point, putting music in the palm of your hand. CMS Speaker M takes the same design language and scales it up into the more powerful centre of a room, desk or gathering, adding an integrated handle so it moves as easily from kitchen to patio as it sits on a shelf. Both are available in White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise, with swappable front panels and knobs, and support standardised, 3D-printable custom designs for users who want to make the product their own.
Sound built for scale
CMS Speaker S is driven by a custom-tuned 45 mm full-range driver and dual passive radiators, delivering up to 10W RMS output across 70Hz-20kHz. CMS Speaker M steps up to a dual-driver, closed-box architecture, a dedicated 25W woofer paired with a 10W tweeter, for 35W RMS output across 60Hz-20kHz, giving deeper bass, clearer highs and more separation for vocals and instruments. Across both models, a hardware-level Adaptive Tuning algorithm continuously analyses playback and optimises output and EQ in real time, so sound stays balanced without a trip to the app. Ultra Bass adds controlled low-end weight, Wide Soundstage opens up the sense of space from a single unit, and four Custom EQ presets, Balanced, More Bass, More Treble and Voice, let users fine-tune the sound to their own taste through the Nothing X app.
For shared listening, two identical CMS Speaker S or two identical CMS Speaker M units can be paired into a true left-and-right Stereo Mode, while Auracast-based Party Mode synchronises playback across two or more compatible speakers, including supported models from other brands, for everything from a desk setup to a beach day or bonfire.
Effortless connection, everyday resilience
Both speakers connect over Bluetooth 6.0 alongside NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for one-tap setup. Dual-device connection keeps a speaker linked to two sources at once, so switching between phone and laptop doesn’t mean reconnecting each time, while USB-C audio adds low-latency, plug-and-play digital playback for music, movies and gaming. Auto Wake Up lets a speaker on external power drop into standby and wake automatically when a paired device reconnects.
Physical control is kept on the product itself: a tactile knob handles playback, track navigation, volume and Ultra Bass, with dedicated buttons for power, Bluetooth pairing and Auracast. Both models carry IP68 dust and water resistance, rated for submersion in up to 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes, and support up to 18 hours of playback at 50% volume with Ultra Bass on, with a 10-minute charge good for up to an hour of listening.
