100 Days is an annual project at New York City’s School of Visual Arts that was founded by Michael Bierut. Each year, the students of the school’s Master’s in Branding Program spend 100 days documenting their process with a chosen creative endeavor. This year, we’re showcasing each student in the program by providing a peek into ten days of their project. You can keep an eye on everyone’s work on our SVA 100 Days page.
Falling in love with books through 100 unexpected quote finds:
Introverted by nature, Vidisha Agarwal always gravitated towards books. From childhood, they were her portal to endless worlds, both real and imagined. Whether browsing libraries, bookstores, or even someone’s personal bookshelf, she was drawn to the whispers within their pages. Often, a random sentence would catch her eye, sparking a thought or a feeling. It was her way of forging a connection, a chance to discover if the book held a deeper magic. Sometimes, a single line would resonate so profoundly that it would grip her. This project, “Love at First Line,” is an ode to those powerful beginnings. Each day, Agarwal delves into a new book, seeking that impactful line. She shares the magic she finds in those words, hoping to spark a similar connection for you, dear reader.
