Scott Mills is a Detroit‑born, Asheville‑based painter and illustrator whose work sits between surrealism and pop‑surrealism, often featuring animals, plants, space motifs and glowing, otherworldly atmospheres.
Working mainly in acrylic (and more recently oil) on canvas, he builds scenes where nature, time and inner emotion overlap—bears, birds, insects and celestial forms become symbolic characters in quietly strange narratives.
