— Frasers Property has mobilised resources across its businesses in Thailand, including Frasers Property Thailand and One Bangkok, to extend its support for rebuilding efforts in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, after devastating floods struck the area in November 2025. Since water levels receded, various sectors have united to restore the area to normalcy.
Previously, Frasers Property supported Wat Tha Sae School by renovating the school canteen and providing learning materials and essential equipment, enabling the school to resume normal teaching activities. More recently, the Group has undertaken restoration efforts at Wat Kok Saman Kun School after the school’s main buildings, classrooms, and assembly halls sustained significant damage during the floods.
Somboon Wasinchutchawal, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, said, “With Frasers Property’s strong property development expertise, we mobilised an expert team to work hand‑in‑hand with the school on a comprehensive damage assessment. From there, the spaces were redesigned to better serve teachers and students. Our support included repairing and upgrading the school buildings, as well as providing essential equipment and facilities ranging from air‑conditioning units to water coolers and water filtration systems.”
The Group also rallied support from its tenants to fund the school’s recovery. This included a contribution from Uniqlo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. of 500 pieces of clothing through its RE.UNIQLO project, to be distributed to affected students.
Jirapit Kwanprom, Principal of Wat Kok Saman Kun School, shared, “The school suffered severe damage, with floodwaters reaching the first-floor ceiling. Due to its low-lying location, the school became a catchment area where water drained very slowly. Frasers Property was the first organisation to step in after the water receded, conducting a detailed damage survey, enquiring into the school’s needs, and assigning a team to closely monitor progress throughout the repair and renovation process. As a result, the school was able to return to normal operations more quickly. The improved environment and enhanced facilities have greatly boosted the morale of our teachers and students, enabling effective learning once again.”
