Dezeen Showroom: Spanish design studio Yonoh worked with acoustic solutions brand Zilenzio to produce Giro, an acoustic room divider that doubles as a low decorative shelf.
The Giro acoustic room divider has a minimalistic, curved aesthetic, and can be used alone or in clusters to create an appealing yet functional feature within interior spaces.
The Giro acoustic room divider doubles as a shelf
Yonoh aimed to create a room divider that would connect rather than separate people, maintaining visual flow within a space while still defining zones, and offering a shared moment of enjoyment in displayed objects.
“We wanted to create a system that brings softness and flexibility to contemporary interiors, breaking away from rigid, linear partitions and introducing a more organic rhythm,” said Yonoh founder Alex Selma.
It has a textile-covered wood frame
The Giro room divider is made with a stone wool filling for reliable sound absorption and a textile-upholstered wood frame for a feeling of domestic warmth and comfort.
The product is available in six widths and two heights, and Zilenzio recommends it for spaces such as offices, schools, hospitality areas and lounges.
