Promotion: bathroom and kitchen brand Grohe will unveil an installation that explores water’s “function, form and impact” at Milan design week 2025.
Named Grohe Aqua Gallery, the new installation takes place at Milan’s historic Garden Senato and was designed by the brand’s in-house Lixil Global Design & Brand Identity team.
The installation follows the festival’s 2025 theme of “Connected Worlds” and is a bid to explore the relationship between humans, water and the environment.
The Grohe Aqua Gallery encourages visitors to experience products as both functional objects and crafted artefacts
A selection of Grohe’s bathroom products will be on display throughout the space, which are designed to enhance people’s experience of water.
“Guided by Grohe’s brand purpose of pure joy of water, our design philosophy, and Fuorisalone 2025’s theme of Connected Worlds, we’ve curated a unique exhibition that offers compelling insight into the innovation, design, and development of our products,” explained Patrick Speck, leader of LIXIL Global Design EMENA.
“Design plays a crucial role in linking various aspects of our lives,” said Speck. “It requires a deep investigation and analysis and understanding of people’s needs, culture and tradition as well as the exploration of the natural environment to the advancement of technologies.”
Beyond a place to refresh, the Grohe Aqua Bar, located in the garden area, makes a powerful statement on sustainability
The installation aims to seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor elements to create a unique gallery experience.
Set within the tranquil garden, it features an Aqua Atelier, which offers a space for reflection. Here visitors will be invited to write an “Aqua Poem” that reflects their experience of the installation before enjoying refreshments at the Aqua Bar.
The Aqua Bar intends to serve as a “powerful statement on sustainability”. It is made from recycled bottles and aims to highlight the impact that single-use plastics have on the environment.
It also seeks to reflect the brand’s commitment to designing products that are responsible and enhance people’s experience of water.
“The Grohe Aqua Gallery reflects the brand’s commitment to shaping a future where design, functionality and responsibility coexist in perfect harmony, crafting the products and experiences that enable people to experience the pure joy of water,” Speck continued.
