— The JETOUR T2 achieved a 5-Star Safety Rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme (ASEAN NCAP) in January 2026, scoring 86.50 points overall. The result highlights the model’s strong overall performance in vehicle safety and active protection.Reportedly scheduled to launch in Malaysia in Q1 2026, the T2 enters the market with the solid foundation provided by this certification.
ASEAN NCAP is the leading vehicle safety assessment program in Southeast Asia and plays a key role in advancing automotive safety through its rigorous evaluation system. In the assessment, the T2 excelled in the four key evaluation categories, including Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assist (SA), and Motorcyclist Safety (MS).
Given the complex two-wheel traffic conditions in ASEAN markets, ASEAN NCAP has introduced the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) assessment. In this test, the JETOUR T2’s Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system delivered an outstanding performance and received a full score, reflecting JETOUR’s keen understanding of ASEAN road conditions and safety needs.
As for passive safety, the JETOUR T2 features a torsional rigidity of 31,000 N·m/deg. Its high-strength structure helps control deformation in a collision and protects occupants. High-strength steel accounts for 80% of the body, helping disperse impact energy from multiple directions.
For active and assistive safety, the T2 comes standard with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for both frontal and rear seats. It also includes rear seat occupant detection, Blind Spot Detection (BSD) on both sides, Pedestrian Protection (PP), Child Presence Detection (CPD), and ISOFIX for child seats. Depending on complex traffic in the ASEAN region, the T2 provides multiple advanced driver assistance technologies, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Auto High Beam (AHB), thereby providing reliable safety assurance for local users.
The ASEAN NCAP 5-Star Safety Rating underscores both the T2’s safety performance and JETOUR’s long-term commitment to high safety standards in the ASEAN market. As its upcoming launch in Malaysia approaching, the T2, grounded in its safety-first principle, will offer local consumers a more secure and reliable mobility option.
