Dezeen Showroom: this basin created by Italian artist and designer Emanuel Gargano and ceramics brand Terzofoco turns the bathroom sink into a sculptural focal point.
The LuneUp Freestanding H2O basin, like all of the products in the LuneUp collection, starts with a hand-thrown ceramic pedestal, which forms the piece’s base.

Round-bottomed, smooth and statuesque, it has the distinct look of artisanally formed clay and comes in classic earthenware colours.
In the case of the Freestanding H2O basin, that pedestal is topped with a sink and accompanied by an accessory container that repeats the ceramic form in miniature.
An accessory container is built into the structure
A small integrated countertop in either aluminium or lava stone provides an intriguing material contrast and joins the elements together.
“This totemic design element brings a distinct architectural presence to any environment, whether indoors or outdoors,” said Terzofoco, which is based in Umbria.
The LuneUp Freestanding H2O basin can be installed with either floor or wall drainage. It can be paired with a wall-, floor- or countertop-mounted tap.
