Melbourne Design Week, Australia’s largest annual design event, is set to return in 2024 from May 23 to June 2.
The Australian design community is invited to share their work and ideas through the dynamic Melbourne Design Week satellite program, which includes independent exhibitions and events throughout the city and regional Victoria. Applications are now open to participate in the satellite program: apply here (applications close November 23 2023).
As part of Melbourne Design Week 2024, Stylecraft and the National Gallery of Victoria present the fifth instalment of the Australian Furniture Design Award. The awards celebrate innovation in furniture and lighting design in Australia, emphasising new ideas, critical and creative thinking, sustainability, material development and groundbreaking research into production processes.
Shortlisted entrants will be invited to present their designs for exhibition and judging at the Stylecraft showroom during Melbourne Design Week. Participants must fill out a registration form here before entering (registrations close October 11 2023).
