Dezeen Showroom: Estonian brand Silen has developed a feature that turns its Space 1.5 office pod into “a peaceful retreat” at the touch of a button.
Enabled via a control panel, the Zen add-on for the Silen Space 1.5 booth turns the pod’s glass opaque, softens the lighting and plays a curated soundscape that includes forest birdsong and ambient meditation music.

The mode is intended to facilitate longer focus and improved wellbeing during periods of solo working.
“With a single touch on the Silen Control Panel, Zen mode transforms the pod into a peaceful retreat,” said Silen. “It’s a space not only for silence, but for presence.”
The feature is designed to support office workers’ wellbeing
The Silen Space 1.5’s structure is built from birch plywood and is designed to last over 20 years, according to the brand.
Acoustic felt panels providing sound insulation, with the fabric made using ocean-plastic-based Seaqual Yarn.
