Dezeen has announced the 262 buildings longlisted for this year’s Dezeen Awards architecture categories, including projects by Foster + Partners, Snøhetta, David Chipperfield, Open Architecture, Schemata Architects, and White Arkitekter.
The longlisted projects vying for accolades in 17 different architecture categories have been completed by studios located in 56 different countries, including Ethiopia, Vietnam, Japan, Iceland, USA and Argentina.
The top six project city locations are London with 17 longlisted entries followed by Melbourne, Sydney, Rotterdam, New York, and Tulum.
Among the longlisted projects are a glass tower distillery in Scotland, a performing arts centre for refugee communities made from earth bricks in Uganda and a larch timber structure designed to protect an archaeological site in Iceland.
All Dezeen Awards 2025 longlists revealed this week
Dezeen Awards 2025, in partnership with Bentley, will reveal all longlisted projects this week. The interiors longlist will be announced tomorrow, followed by the design longlist on Wednesday and the sustainability longlist on Thursday.
“I’m thrilled to be joining as a judge for Dezeen Awards, and to support Bentley’s commitment to inspire, support and champion design excellence,” said Ben Saltmer, Dezeen Awards judge and head of lifestyle design at Bentley.
“This year’s architecture projects showcase a sensitivity and return to natural surroundings to enhance the impact architecture has on improving daily life and communities around the world.”

The longlisted projects were selected from over 4,300 entries from 89 countries across six continents for the eighth edition of our awards programmes, which celebrates the individuals and studios producing the most outstanding architecture, interiors and design projects from around the globe.
The next stage of Dezeen Awards 2025 will see all longlisted projects assessed by our prestigious panel of international judges including architects Lina Ghotmeh, Carlo Ratti, and Pablo Pérez Palacios.
Our 60 judges will determine the projects that feature on the shortlists, which will be announced in October. A further round of judging by our master jury will determine the winners of the architecture project categories, Bentley Lighthouse Award, as well as the overall architecture project of the year winner sponsored by Programa.
