Dezeen Showroom: Dutch lighting brand Brand van Egmond has released a sculptural series of chandeliers that mimic the delicate appearance of bubbles.
Bubbles Flow and Bubbles Swirl were designed to conjure nostalgia in the viewer by prompting memories of playing with bubbles during childhood.
Bubbles Swirl can be hung alone or in groups
Dainty glass spheres of varying sizes cover the chandelier’s metal frame. A select few of the bubbles contain lighting elements, which cast a warm glow.
Bubbles Swirl is a compact pendant lighting unit, while Bubbles Flow has a long linear form.
Bubbles Flow is a longer piece
Bubbles Flow comes in four sizes while Bubbles Swirl comes in two and can be hung in isolation or in clusters to create a more dramatic effect.
Bubbles Flow comes in gold and dark bronze frame finishes, with Bubbles Swirl available in dark bronze. Other metal finishes are available upon request.
