We now has more than half a million followers on our LinkedIn! To celebrate the milestone, we’ve commissioned an illustration by Venezuelan designer Luthiem Escalona.
LinkedIn is one of Dezeen’s fastest-growing and most-engaged social media audiences. Almost 20 per cent of our followers have discovered our page in the past year.
Our LinkedIn posts were reshared more than 15,000 times in the past 12 months and made more than 32 million impressions.

Dezeen now has more than 7.5 million followers across all social media platforms and recently published it’s 50,000th post on the website.
LinkedIn, which started with a focus on business and employment, has since become used for broader networking. We joined the platform in 2013 – seven years after founder Marcus Fairs launched Dezeen in 2006.
On Dezeen’s LinkedIn we share highlights from Dezeen interviews and opinion pieces, as well as other thought-leadership, project stories and news from the website.
Escalona is a graphic designer and photographer from Venezuela who has been working in London for six years. She has created designs for Liberty London, mirror and glass company Santí Santí and knitwear company Wool and the Gang.
“The grained texture in the illustration represents each person as a grain – and how they build upon each other’s networks via LinkedIn,” the designer told Dezeen.
Informed by the idea of connections and network inherent to the platform, Escalona created a design with “the numbers connected to each other to show unity and reflect how everyone is intertwined”.
