United States Union Green Power announced it has completed all regulatory and technical procedures required to enter wholesale electricity markets and has received full authorization to begin commercial operations within major U.S. energy systems. The company confirmed that it can now supply electricity generated from renewable sources directly into competitive market platforms.
According to the company, a critical milestone was obtaining approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, which grants the right to sell electricity at market-based rates. As part of the federal review process, Union Green Power disclosed its ownership structure, demonstrated a lack of market power concerns, and confirmed compliance with transparency and reporting requirements applicable to energy market participants.
Union Green Power also completed the interconnection process, one of the most technically demanding stages of market entry. This included submitting interconnection requests, undergoing feasibility and system impact studies, and meeting grid reliability standards. The company confirmed that its renewable generation assets, including solar and wind facilities, are now fully synchronized with the transmission network and capable of delivering electricity in accordance with operational requirements.
In addition, the company satisfied financial and operational readiness standards required by market operators. These include posting collateral, establishing settlement accounts, and integrating with market management systems used for submitting bids and schedules. Union Green Power also implemented forecasting tools to accurately predict renewable energy output, a key requirement for participation in both day-ahead and real-time electricity markets.
Following these steps, Union Green Power has been admitted as a market participant on platforms operated by PJM Interconnection and California Independent System Operator. These organizations manage some of the largest wholesale electricity markets in the United States, coordinating supply and demand through structured auctions and real-time dispatch systems.
Entry into these markets allows Union Green Power to sell renewable electricity directly to utilities, retail suppliers, and large industrial consumers. The company may also participate in ancillary services markets, supporting grid stability through capacity, frequency regulation, and reserve services. In parallel, Union Green Power is expected to register for renewable energy certificate programs, enabling it to monetize the environmental attributes of its clean energy production.
The company stated that access to U.S. wholesale markets represents a major step in its long-term growth strategy. By combining renewable generation with advanced market participation capabilities, Union Green Power aims to scale its operations, expand its project portfolio, and strengthen its role in the transition toward a low-carbon energy system in the United States.
